Vote Jihad Remarks: Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister and senior BJP leader Devendra Fadnavis’s statement on vote jihad has created a political uproar in the state. On Thursday (October 3), Shiv Sena (UBT) MP Sanjay Raut targeted Fadnavis and said that he wants to break the country.
Sanjay Raut said, “What is vote jihad?” The citizens of this country are Muslims, Jains, Hindus, Parsis, all vote, if they vote for you (BJP) then it is okay? If it is a matter of vote jihad then why did you (BJP) bring triple talaq law for Muslim women? What will you say if people of the society vote for you?

He further said, “What will you say if the people of Gujarat vote for you in Maharashtra? So what will you say? Will the votes of Gujaratis be called Jihad? People like Fadnavis want to break the country. This is Gandhiji’s country. Giving such statements. This is all garbage from his mind.
What did Devendra Fadnavis say?
Deputy CM Devendra Fadnavis has recently mentioned ‘Vote Jihad’. They Lok Sabha elections Referring to the setback in Maharashtra, he said, “Some (Muslim community) people feel that even though our numbers are less, we can defeat Hindutva supporters by voting in an organized manner.”
